A personal farewell from Juliette

A very personal post from me this time! I’m saying goodbye to my CAHPR family after working as an administrator with you all for just over three years.

I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to you all as I’ve learnt so so much during my time with CAHPR.

I have been lucky enough to attended all sorts of webinars and enjoyed them all! I’m not an AHP or an academic but these taught me so many things. Each presenter broke their subjects down so well that even I could follow them, ha! Through the webinars I’ve learnt lots of things including medical ethics, literature reviews, how to prepare for a viva, and AI in research. You’ve shown me how to make an epic PowerPoint and I must have been listening to the ‘Demonstrating your impact’ session because during my time at CAHPR I have grown in confidence, presented on the projects I led and have been able to show my own impact on CAHPR! Thank you to all my colleagues who presented these wonderful webinars.

One of the highlights over the three years has been to lead a project to designing and bring in a new website for CAHPR. I’ve loved that and still love adding new content, building new pages and teaching others to edit pages on there too. Now I’m leaving you won’t have me interrupting any more meetings with ‘I’ll just show you that page on our website…’. I think my interruptions only showed my enthusiasm for it. Another highlight was joining one of CAHPR London’s research evenings, meeting all those connected to CAHPR London, seeing lots of fascinating presentations and even though I sat at the back trying not to be noticed, I was called out and introduced as ‘CAHPR Royalty’ Ha, what a joke! but the recognition was very touching.

The best thing about CAHPR though is all of you. I have been privileged to work alongside some truly inspirational people. I’ve been supported and nurtured, given the freedoms to grow and hopefully you have seen me blossom. Thank you to each and every one of you for being part of my CAHPR journey, for inspiring me, and a special thanks to Dawn for spotting the potential in me and every guidance she has given me along the way. I leave with a lot of gifts in the form of knowledge, skills and confidence and I have a new found ambition too. Thank you, I’m ever grateful, Juliette xxx
