British and Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS) offers the following grants:

• Fight for Sight /BIOS co-funded Small Research Grant Award – up to £15,000 per year
• BIOS Pump-Priming Small Grants offer support for members who are new researchers (£1000 – £2500)

The British Dietetic Association’s General and Education Trust (GET) offers the following funding:

• Research award’s in the range of £5,000-£40,000
• Funds are also available to:
  • Support BDA members speaking or presenting posters at conferences and events
  • Fund spaces for BDA members in AHP leadership programmes
  • GET annual awards: Rose Simmonds Award (£3000) for an original research publication, Elizabeth Washington Award (£2000) for a published/presented educational project and the Dame Barbara Clayton Award (£2000) for an innovation project

The Osteopathic Foundation offers grants of up to £20,000 to support research: Grant Applications – Institute of Osteopathy

Royal College of Occupational Therapists offer the following funding through it’s research and innovation fund:

• Advancing the Evidence Grant: One project grant of up to £90,000, project must clearly address one or more of the top 10 research priorities for occupational therapy in the UK.
• Involving People in Research Grant: Multiple grants of up to £2,000 each to support public involvement and engagement in grant or project preparation.
• Research Starter Grant: Up to two grants totalling £20,000 to support doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to support at the beginning of their research career development.
• Synthesising the Evidence Grant: Up to two grants totalling £20,000 to fund a systematic review of evidence.

Research grants and funding | CoR

Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT) offer a range of minor grants open to members to cover activities such as studying costs and conference attendance fees. RCSLT also offers the Catherine Renfrew Award of up to £600 to help fund a visit to a course or conference outside of the UK.
